Weather Travel Advisory Ordinance (No. 96-5)
The Johnson County Commissioners shall declare Weather Travel
Advisory for the unincorporated area of Johnson County, Indiana
as a result of a severe weather emergency that could cause
the occurrence or immediate threat of widespread injury or
loss of life or property.
That upon the declaration of a Weather
Travel Advisory by the Johnson County Commissioners, the
Johnson County Highway Department is ordered to open for
public travel the following county roads in the unincorporated
area of Johnson County, Indiana, which are hereby declared
Weather Travel Advisory Routes:
- 250W (to 750S)
- 700S (from 800W to 300W)
- 750S (from 300W to 100E)
- 500W (to State Road 135)
300W (to State Road 135)
- 100E (to 300S) Nineveh Road
- Mauxferry Road (to US-31)
- 700E (from 775S to County Line
Road)
- Greensburg Road (to 700E)
- 300S (from 575W to Mauxferry
Road)
- 200E (from SR252 to US-31) Airport Road
- Division Road
(to Centerline Road)
- Centerline Road (to 600N)
- 400W (from State Road 44 to
County Line Road)
- 300N (East and West side of County)
- 225E
(to County Line Road) Graham Road
- 400E (to County Line
Road) Hurricane Road
- 500N (across County)
- State Road 144 (from Bargersville

The Johnson County Highway Department is ordered to
post appropriate signage designating said Weather Travel
Advisory Routes.
Upon the designation of a Weather Travel
Advisory, all parking of motor vehicles shall be prohibited
and the Sheriff of Johnson County shall be authorized to
remove said vehicles from said Weather Travel Advisory Routes
and the owner of said vehicles shall be responsible for the
cost of said removal.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from after
the 18th day of March 1996.
