ROBBERY SUSPECT APPREHENDED!
Teamwork and Persistence combined to pay off for
Sheriff's Deputies this week. Johnson County Sheriff's Deputies located,
chased, and apprehended a robbery suspect who is accused of robbing ten
different businesses in the Central Indiana area. For weeks, Sheriff's
Deputies have been closely patrolling the Interstate 65 area in search of the
"Southside Interstate Robber". Sheriff's Deputy Ted Belser spotted the
suspect and initiated a high speed police pursuit which weaved northbound to
Greenwood where the suspect veered off of the Interstate and began driving
toward Rocklane. At that point, the suspect struck two Sheriff's Deputies
squad cars before he was struck with a Taser device and then bitten by Sheriff's
Canine Robbie before being taken into custody. Sheriff's Detectives then
served a search warrant in Bargersville related to obtain further evidence.
This large scale multi-division Investigation is the finest example of the
teamwork, dedication, and ability of the men and women of your Johnson County
Sheriff's Office.
Good Work!
