JCSO Conducts Traffic Speed Study of
3800 block of Chancellor Drive in Foxberry
Trace
The Johnson County Sheriff's Office conducted a speed study in the 3800
block of Chancellor Drive
in Foxberry Trace, White River Township. The speed limit for the
area studied is 25 miles per hour. During a 15-day period in February
2004, 2,721 vehicles were clocked via radar. Of those vehicles, just over
53% (1,449)
were speeding. The average speed of passing motorists over the 15-day
period was only 25 miles per hour. In fact, 85% of the speeding cars were
driving merely 1 to 5 miles per hour above the speed limit. Most drivers
were driving with due caution. Conversely, the highest speed clocked
was 47 miles per hour in the 25 mile per hour zone. The Johnson County
Sheriff's Office is dedicated to keeping your roads safe; Deputies will continue to monitor
the area for speeding motorists and other unsafe driving.
