Good Work by Sheriff's
Deputy nets Drug Suspects
Johnson County Sheriff's Deputy Travis
Derrett noticed a suspicious vehicle in area of Whiteland Road and Graham Road
in rural Pleasant Township, just outside Whiteland. After watching the
vehicle for a while, Deputy Derrett stopped the vehicle and quickly determined
that the occupants had just finished stealing anhydrous ammonia, a precursor of
the popular and dangerous drug Methamphetamine. As a result of this
traffic stop and the good police work that followed prior to and following the
traffic stop, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office located and dismantled yet
another very dangerous methamphetamine laboratory. Deputy Derrett's
superior work is reflective of the dedication of this agency to proactively
and aggressively identify, seek, and incarcerate users and manufacturer's of
illegal narcotics. If you have information regarding the use or
manufacturing of illegal narcotics in Johnson County, leave a message on the
Sheriff's Office Narcotics Tip Line at 317-736-2279; Callers can remain
anonymous.
