Sheriff's Deputies' Graduate ILEA
Deputies Graduate Law
Two Johnson County Sheriff's Office Deputies' recently completed training at
the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield, Indiana. Deputy Damian
Katt was hired as a Merit Deputy on January 22, 2004. He previously served
as a Reserve Deputy for this agency. While at the law enforcement academy,
Katt earned the status of "Honor Graduate" and tied for third place of his
entire class for the Firearms Proficiency Award. Katt has completed the
Johnson County Sheriff's Office Field Training Program and has been assigned to
road duty. Deputy Michael Heisinger was employed by the Sheriff's Office
on July 15, 2003 where he worked in the Jail Division. He was promoted to
a Shift Supervisor in the Jail before being selected as a Merit Deputy on May 6,
2004. He is in the final stages of the Field Training Program and is
expected to be released for assignment to the Road Division in the near future.
Both men deserve congratulations for a job well done while at the academy
representing this agency.
